Using air toolsThe use of the air tools is quite advantageous since they use compressed air that requires the system to be less complicated. The tools use compressors to supply the tool with air and thus run the tool; this is done quite smoothly and rather powerfully. The use of the tool though quite light and easy to handle requires that one makes sure that their safety comes first. The first thing that one should look into is the proper attire. In all construction work one is required to wear personnel protective equipment (PPE). The air tools range from air drills to saws and thus do not come any less dangerous than their electric counterparts, if anything the power in them makes them more vital. One needs to wear protective gear while working with the air tools no matter pw small they are. In most cases one needs to protect the eyes, hands, clothes, head, ears and face. It is common practice to wear protective goggles, ear muffs or plugs, helmets, overalls, face masks and overalls. One needs to wear these PPE to protect themselves from any accidental occurrences that might arise in working with the tools. The tools just like any other tool require to be regularly maintained. In most cases there are two ways to control maintenance, the first one being to operate the air tool until it stops to running then overhaul it and the second is that one schedules inspections f the tools for overhauling. In most cases the air tools come with instruction manuals from the manufacturer and thus is required that one follows the instructions in the manuals for proper use. One of the most advised working tip is to make sure that the hoses are connected firmly to the connectors, which in most cases is aided by the presence of seals. One should also look into the lubrication of the air tools, to lower the tear and wear experienced by the tools. The air supply of the air tools is one of the most important requirements in working and maintenance of the tool. One should make sure that the rating of the compressor matches that of the tool for efficient and durable tool use. Too much rating will over power the working of the tool making it hard to handle it while the less air supply will not be efficient in working. The air that one should use must be free of any impurities such as water and thus it is advisable to store the compressor in a cool dry and clean area. The gas that one should use should be air and only air only, so one should not use any bottled gas such as carbon dioxide or propane. One should also be aware of the basics of using the air tools such as not pointing the tools to anyone else, not leaving the tool unattended by a level minded adult and storing the tools in a place out of children’s reach. Small working issues such as the stance that one takes are also quite important in the use of the tool.
